hello,
We're thinking seriously about going ahead and upgrading to mysql 4.1.1.
However, in reading the changelists, I noticed that timestamps in 4.1.1
are returned as a string instead of a number. Does Connector/J 3.1 deal
with this change appropriately? I'm assuming it will be hidden, in that
a call to getTimestamp() from a Statement or PreparedStatement will
still return a java.sql.Timestamp. correct?
thanks,
Yes, this is all handled transparently by the JDBC driver. Please let me
know if you find a case where it doesn't work.
