I invite you to download Symphony [2] and take a closer look at this.

Rob, when I go to the download page for Symphony it offers me .rpm files, although the instructions mention a .deb for Ubuntu users. Is a .deb version available, and if so how can I get it?

(Yes, all you helpful techies on this list, I know I can create a .deb from the .rpm; that's not the question.)

From http://symphony.lotus.com, see where it says "Get Lotus Symphony 3 Today!" on the upper right of the page? It will suggest a version, based on what it can figure out of your OS and language preferences. From what you say, it sounds like it is suggesting an .rpm for you. Click the "change" link to pick another download package. There will be one for Ubuntu.
