I have several virtual domains on one server, all users have virtual
accounts via USERDB. If a user sends mail via the web interface her FROM
address, which displays properly in the CGI-BIN UI as us...@virtual.com
is replaced by user...@hostname.net during sending the message.
May I change this behaviour?
esmtppercentrelay has nothing to do with the contents of any From: header.
It's getting worse, now even messages I send locally with mutt or using
Mozilla relaying remotely via authenticated SMTP get a rewrite of the
FROM Header, every message I deliver get's it's FROM replaced.
Sorry for following up to myself:
I now sent:
a) a message with mutt locally to myself (i.e. SMTP not involved) and
b) in a seconde message changed FROM to another address of mine, which
is not part of aliases, acceptdomain, hosteddomains or percentrelay of
the courier-mta machine.
c) sent a message to my account induced via SMTP.
All three times the FROM-Header was alright.
