After reading of so many apparent nightmares about models not being accepted GE Cities in 3D program, I have started losing a bit of sleep myself and now want to go over all models to ensure little or nothing should disqualify them.
As such, I have done a fair bit of research but have found little to convince me which the best methods of texturing models are. I have found plenty of videos showing how each of the pin types work and how projected textures can help some situations but none that really show why one method should be used or preferred over another.
I have seen some advantages and differences between the 2 Pin Types as far as placing textures go, but does GE have a preference ?
What if any are the particular advantages of placing textures using one pin type over the other ?
And finally, I realize that textures could (at least theoretically) be used as Textures or Projected Textures. So, when I/We use Projected Textures, should those textures remain projected (i.e. checkmark still on "projected) when uploading models ?
Any and All Advice Welcomed
