In which order each of these files - $HOME/.courier, $HOME/.mailfilter and maildroprc - get in effect during a mail delivery?

It is clear to me that maildroprc is used before looking for a $HOME/.mailfilter. My doubt is, when does $HOME/.courier is used? Before or after $HOME/.mailfilter? Before or after maildroprc?

If $HOME/.courier exists, it is read first and overrides any other default delivery instructions. The $HOME/.courier file may or may not specify delivery via maildrop.

If, after processing $HOME/.courier, you are delivering via maildrop, maildroprc is read first and then $HOME/.mailfilter.
