I installed SketchUp and ran it fine for 4 hours. The next morning I installed Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 (video editing software). When I opened SketchUp again the main working screen was totally black and would not refresh. Dialogue boxes that were opened would remain visibile even after I clicked OK to close them. Two reboots did not fix the problem so I uninstalled Adobe Elements and rebooted. SketchUp ran normally. Then I closed SketchUp and reopened it 30 minutes later and the black screen with the refresh problem is back. I have tried opening SketchUp files I have saved, disabling hardware accelleration on my video card, ending extraneous tasks, and several reboots. Nothing works. Suggetions are welcome - Thanks.

FYI I'm running SketchUp on an Acer 4000 laptop. 1GB ram and 1.99 Gigahertz processor. Windows XP SP2.
