i've just installed courier-0.35 on my system and everything is working great except for smtp auth. imap/pop auth (authpam thru authdaemon) works just fine. i am getting this:

everytime in the syslog. login and cram-md5 don't work either it seems. i've tested this with multiple clients.

any suggestions?
