I'm thinking about setting up a commercial site using mySQL with myODBC on a remote Dell PowerApp Windows 2000 Server with IIS 5.0. I'll be using Active Server Pages to drive the site in conjunction with ADO Connection Strings.

I'm proposing to go this route on the basis that I already have asp experience and because mySQL should be more powerful than MSAccess and less cumbersome (and less expensive) than Microsoft SQL 7.0.

Any comments on this approach? Any do's and don'ts?

The alternative would be PHP4 and mySQL on a Cobalt RAQ server, but I would have the learning curve on PHP4?

Thanks.
