Hmm, someone said earlier on in this thread, that FreeBSD does not have a framebuffer device; if so:
1) What is the FB_INSTALL_CDEV kernel option for? 2) What is the purpose of <sys/fbio.h>?

Well as far as I can see the text console is considered as kind of a frame buffer. Surely not what quite what you are looking for.
