Hello,

I just installed mysql-3.22.32-pc-linux, set up the grant tables, and upon trying to set the password, I got an error message thus:

Does anyone have a clue what could be causing this?

My box is a PC with a Pentium pro 200MHZ, 128M ram, no other OS other than Linux Slack 7.0.
