Hi,

courier-imapd does not work correctly, after september 8, 2001. this is urgent patch

What goes wrong without this patch? What is the sort order of the files necessary for? All I see is assigning new UIDs, and that shouldn't really matter, I think? Of course I could be missing something big and obvious. :)

The only impact was that a bunch of new messages wont be assigned UIDs in the order of arrival.

(I think I'm unaffected currently, as procmail writes out its files like _zzD.p_Hi7.hostname:flags)

Right, so you aren't going to see the right order anyway.
