Me too. Suddenly I cannot download any messages. It keeps saying "Server at pop.gmail.com timed out." All my settings locally and on gmail are correct. I've set up a million gmail accounts so I know how to set up a POP account. It just doesn't work anymore. I have erased and totally reinstalled Thunderbird so that is not the problem. It never asks me for a password. I think it broke when I turned on IMAP mail. I turned it off again but it hasn't worked since. I cannot find any way to contact Gmail support and there are no answers in the user groups. Anyone know how to contact Google tech support??
