I thought you might like to know that I intend to host a session on defect tracking integration and the Perforce Defect Tracking Integration project <http://www.ravenbrook.com/project/p4dti/> at the Perforce User Conference <http://www.perforce.com/perforce/conference.html>. The tentative conference schedule has me down for Friday 2000-09-15 at 09:00 to 10:15, but don't hold Perforce to that.

I intend to give a presentation about the project, demonstrate the current software in action (by that time we will be at version 0.2 <http://www.ravenbrook.com/project/p4dti/plan/>), answer questions, and solicit feedback of all kinds.

If defect tracking integration is important to you then you should come to the conference. It'll be an excellent opportunity to have input to the project. Registration details are on the conference page at <http://www.perforce.com/perforce/conference.html>.

I also hope to give a talk on change management. I gave a talk on this last year, but this one will have new material available. Just how much new material depends on what I can get done in the next few weeks.

OK, what does this one mean?

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Perforce Service ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: Cannot dispatch the Perforce Service "p4s.exe". Error is 1063: The service process could not connect to the service controller. Error occurred in line 169 of file sys\ntservice.cc.

This is an error in the application log on my perforce server. Any info would be appreciated. We have had one unexpected shutdown of our perforce server, and I am combing through the event logs trying to find anything out of the ordinary.
