We use MS OLE DB binaries to access various servers.

Well, it's good to know that it works for somebody. :)

I'll suggest you to check you use the same msadc distribution onto both machines. Win200 is delivered with an old version. Latest version is 2.61, it corrects bugs from several drivers. Perhaps you should download it from MS.

I assume you mean MDAC -- if not, then what's msadc?. Both machines are running MDAC 2.5. But I just ran the MDAC version checker, and the server is 2.5 RTM while the client is 2.5 SP2. So I guess I'll have to give this a try -- but my past experience with updating MDAC has not been positive. Things tend to break when you do this. So this is going to have to wait for the weekend, or perhaps a long night.

In the meantime, could you post the connection string you are using?

Thanks for your help.

Don

P.S. MySQL. I need to include that word to get past the mailing list spam checker. :)
