Saw this question came up a little while ago, with regards to someone using LDAP authd, where everything appears to be functioning perfectly, but when a mail user-agent connects to send a mail, esmptd returns the above response.

The previous mail indicated that it would be because the courierldapaliasd was not running, but in my case it is.

Any further suggestions?
