Dave,
I tried using Crystal Reports ending with dismal failure. All of our web & db servers run Linux. Installing CR on an NT server and configuring IIS was a nightmare and performance was lacking using MyODBC driver. I ended up creating my own reports with PDFLIB - you can find it at: http://www.pdflib.com . Using Perl I can generate any kind of report that is required by my users and it's all platform independant.

Does anybody have a positive experience with report servers using mysql?
We are looking for something with PDF output.
