I would like to download FreeBSD for use on a 486 Lap-top I have at home. I don't want to use the modem connection due to speed. I'm running my desk top on a T-1, and can cut a CD. What is your reccomended location to download a copy from, while not installing on the machine involved in the download? Suggestions?

Yuck, that didn't come through right but I'm not going to fix it.

Anyway, if you want to cut your own CD (which isn't as easy as it seems - most people need to make some frisbees first) just make a copy of the FTP site. You don't need the packages or ports unless you want them.

I generally recommend (highly) that you buy the WC CD so you get the whole thing in one package.

What do you use for your NIC on a T1, anyway? :)
