Hello Jeff
below is the XML generated by the API captured via wireshark. Chronological order is as follows.
1) We currently bulk upload our feed via the Google web front end.
2) I query this feed using the Vb.net sample and return a single item (AVD1166) into the apps grid.
3) I change the description then post the data back to Google again using the vb.net sample. The XML below is teh content of that return post as generated by theAPI. The errors returned by that post are outlined in my previous posting.

Hi Patrick,
For issue number 1, I'm a bit stumped. I was able to insert several items with a upc attribute. What was the item type and language for your item? It might be easiest if I could see the XML which was send to the server.
In issue number 2 I would need to see the address as well. If it is an address which Google Base does not recognize, you can specify the latitude and longitude of the location in the XML. For example, see

Hello Jeff
I am getting a couple of errors that are puzzling me when I use a modified version of the vb.net api sample. The mods I have made to the PostData_Click are shown below.
entry.Title.Text = row("Title") entry.Content.Content = row("Description") entry.GBaseAttributes.AddUrlAttribute("image link", row("Image Link")) entry.GBaseAttributes.AddUrlAttribute("link", row("Link")) entry.GBaseAttributes.AddTextAttribute("product type", row("Product Type")) entry.GBaseAttributes.AddTextAttribute("condition", row("Condition")) entry.GBaseAttributes.Location = row("Location") entry.GBaseAttributes.AddTextAttribute("brand", row("Brand")) entry.GBaseAttributes.AddNumberUnitAttribute("weight", 3, "KG") entry.GBaseAttributes.AddTextAttribute("mpn", row("MPN")) entry.GBaseAttributes.AddTextAttribute("upc", row("UPC")) entry.GBaseAttributes.AddTextAttribute("ean", row("EAN"))
I have tried various different things but still get the same errors returned which I have copied below;
<errors> <error type="data" field="upc" reason="We do not allow this entry." /
<error type="data" field="location" reason="We don't understand this location. Please type in a valid location - e.g. street (optional), city, state, postal code." /> </errors>
Error 1 - upc - I have been including this attribute in our bulk upload data feed for quite a while now using the format c:upc:string
I also notice that if I go to edit a record uploaded via the data feed I am told the same error in red.
Error 2 - location - I have tried various different ways to structure the address, all of which are validated by my testing against Google Maps but I still keep getting the same error
Could you please help
