I am new too mysql and ran into serious problems while using it with Visual
Studio.

The c++-connector does not work, many warning and some mistakes.

Although I managed to compile successfully after alternating some headers, the
linker complained about many undefined references (mysql++.lib internals).

As far as I know, there is no support for VC 7, is that right, and if yes, is
there a work around?

I tried the c-api, but there were compile errors too (about four or six).

Normally I am an experienced api user, but this failures surprises me.

Do you have any suggestions?
