Hi,

2005-05-04 kl. 16.15 skrev Leonard Cremer:

I have been reading through the Cluster FAQ and in there the suggested hardware is with a RAID 1 controller.

Is there any reason why RAID 1 is better than RAID 5 for the MySQL cluster?

MySQL Cluster writes pretty heavily to disk during updates, inserts and deletes. RAID 1 has a much higher throughput on writes compared to RAID 5.
