When you outsorce, you have to deal with advertisments attached to your mail... ick! It's real easy to setup MailMan (from http://www.list.org/) to make and manage very flexible mail lists. List members have a page they can go to for setting options, list administrators also have a web based interface for managing anything you could ever want to do with the list.
If any changes are made MailMan should be looked at...

Hi Folks,
I just re-subscribed to this list. Now I remember what I didn't like.
I think this list would be much better if Perforce implemented: (1) A subject line that contained the string "PERFORCE: " (2) A weekly *summary* option instead of hourly chatter.
- Clearcase does this. - Activestate Perl does this. - There are several services that will manage your mailing lists for *free* and give you these options (such as Lyris.com)
See below for an example of the Activestate Perl list.

Hi Mohamed, Couple of possibilities: * Perl Resource Kit for NT * www.cdrom.com * Cheap Bytes (not sure of the URL, may be www.cheapbytes.com)
If you are into pain, the NT service Pack 3 CD has a perl.exe too ;) ... pre-Activstate even .. hehe.
Hope this helps :)

Not sure if you just want to have perl on a handy medium or what, if that's the case maybe you should just download onto a writeable cd.. or if you have the $$, get o'reilly's perl resource kit for win32... go to http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/prkwin32/desc.html for the whole scoop.

I suggest you try Sender.pm - a Perl module which makes mail sending really painless and works with NT, 9x and UNIX - so your code is not platform specific... There are examples here on how to use this module.
You can get the module and documentation at: http://Jenda.Krynicky.cz/#Mail::Sender
You might also like to check out CGI.pm by Lincon Stein: for handling you forms, creating new ones and checking for dodgy user input this module is the one for you... Get CGI.pm at: http://stein.cshl.org/WWW/software/CGI/
There are dozens of examples on how to use the fabulous CGI.pm at the above address and at "The official guide to programming with CGI.pm" - http://www.wiley.com/compbooks/stein/index.html.
I have only be programming in Perl for a few weeks so far, so my code is not that elegant yet - I hope you find what you need at the above addresses - it will be better than anything I've got to offer yet.
Good luck

If I could get the source code, it would be more useful. I would be more thankful for you all..... Thank you very much. SincerelyT. Jegan

Well, I sort of fixed my problem.
It turns out that Perl2EXE supports an "include" statement that I could use to add image files to the EXE.
Anyone know is PerlApp supports something similar?
Thanks, David R

I have a Perl/Tk app I've written and I added a couple of small images to my Help>About dialog.
When I create an executable using PerlApp, the images will not display. I suspect it's a pathname problem.
My workaround is to put an "if" wrapper around the code that puts the image into the dialog. If the image pathname can be resolved, include it, else skip this code.
Is there a way to have PerlApp include the image within the *.exe?
Thanks, David R
