I kind of doubt that. In 4.1, the slow down only happens in the first
minutes of execution and, after, start working fast again. If it was
that, i would supose that it would become slower to the end, not to the
start of execution. And in 5.0, it maintains a perfectly stable 9.1~9.2
KB/s of trafic from the very start...
Try some detective work with these options:
log-slow-queries
long_query_time
log
