Hi ,
From my Netscape experiences the only way to make folders would be to
make them under the Inbox, these surprisingly show up okay on a well written
imap client like Pegasus Mail as folders in the correct hierarchy as we as
used to seeing them with non-RFC compliant software. Any sub folder of the
newly created folder will show up as follows:
Inbox
|
new folder
|
new sub-folder
This is true for Netscape according to my experiences with Netscape
4.76/4.77 on Unix and Windows 2000/98/95, maybe you are trying to create a
folder above the Inbox folder in Netscape this will fail. Hope this helped
....
Cheers,
Aly.

Subject: [courier-users] Courier-IMAP & Netscape 4.76 don't like each other
Hello friends,
It's seem that my saga making Netscape to work
with Courier IMAP is going with with new episods.
I've make ALL tricks explained at:
http://www.inter7.com/courierimap/README.imap.html
and this won't help at all. Netscape 4.76 still
view only Inbox and after making a subfolder
it scream that mail server responded cannot
make folder:
A snort log:
25 create "S"
25 NO Invalid mailbox name..
If nobody have ideas, I'll make a *full*
page of tries in Netscape setting and snort logs
for each of.
P.S. Netscape was started clean! (no precedent
.nestcape directory or ns_imap)
kind regards,
