You can install famd from ports if you like:
# cd /usr/ports/devel/fam
# make install depend distclean
You'll need to edit etc/rpc, etc/inetd.conf and etc/rc.conf, but that should
be explained after you install it.

(nor "man page", nor "locate", nor "find" about famd).
So you use/create the cache file maildirwatch ?
And where did this file be created ?
