For some reason, the archive isn't generating any content for me to look at .. hhmmm.... I put " ado" into the search fieald, hit go, and get a page with a title that says there are results. But the page is blank ( except for navigation).. Here is the URL it's trying to generate:

Can anybody send me a real life snippet of code for hooking VB to MySQL. Something anyone has written that hits MySQL with a SQL statement then gets the result. Any real world examples at all ( as opposed to psuedocode) would be great.. I am using VB5 to connect to MySQL ( I have MyODBC as well). I am porting data from an extremely large Excel spreadsheet to MySQL.

check the myodbc and mysql-win32 archives...plenty of examples in there...search for stuff like ADO.

cheers
