Hello,

Does anyone knows how to fix an audio problem from Asterisk 1.6? When I try to make sip calls to international numbers there's only one way audio (I hear them, but they don't hear me)

Thanks

Hi all

Again I have a strange problem about two * now wanting to communicate to each other.

I double checked the keys this time and I am quite sure this is not the Problem. What else could cause that problem?

Originating the call: Asterisk 1.6.0.9 (from source) Receiving the call: Asterisk 1.4.21.2~dfsg-3 (debian lenny package)

I have a second box with 1.4.21.2~dfsg-3 and this one receives DUNDi calls from the 1.6.0.9 *.

So something must be wrong on the one not accepting the calls, but I am not able to point my finger to it.

Maybe what could also be a hint: For testing I set up a iax2 trunk between the two boxes with qualify=yes

1.4.21.2~dfsg-3 sees 1.6.0.9 as 'REACHABLE' 1.6.0.9 says 1.4.21.2~dfsg-3 is 'UNREACHABLE'

I sniffed the iax2 packets between the two boxes, they definitely reach each

other.

When 1.4.21 initiates the availabily test I see a POKE, PONG, ACK sequence. When 1.6.0.9 initiates the availability test I see a POKE, PONG, INVAL sequence.

querying dundi number or entityid from one to the other works perfectly, so it's not a generic problem, just one affecting iax calls or iax dundi authentication.

Maybe you already know that, but Asterisk compiled from source stores keys in one place (/var/lib/asterisk/keys), and Asterisk form debian package stores it in different place (/usr/share/asterisk/keys).

Could that be a problem?

Yeah, that's what I found out lately :-)

But the keys are right:

1.6.0.9: sip.imp.ch PRIVATE [Loaded] 272c57016ed0ec92164cd7be7b4a8a90 sip.imp.ch PUBLIC [Loaded] 75f8563892a6a1a69be3fafc9095a758 magma PUBLIC [Loaded] 4dfed5b2bf8961f604366a9ee7124c91

1.4.21: sip.imp.ch PUBLIC [Loaded] 75f8563892a6a1a69be3fafc9095a758 magma PUBLIC [Loaded] 4dfed5b2bf8961f604366a9ee7124c91 magma PRIVATE [Loaded] ffdc38287d29951dda5dc16e41e53cf9

And anyway, on DUNDi calls, the keys are not used as far as I understand. A rotating secred is being used.

My suggestion would be to forget about 1.4.21 from debian package and to go with the same 1.6.0.9 on both Asterisks.
