Ok, slight update. I sent four messages with attachments with pine using the
replacement sendmail in courier. One of the four messages was eventually
delivered approximately 24 hours after I sent it. The other three have never
been received. There were no error messages. Short messages with no
attachments were sent and received almost immediately to the same address.
What could be causing this? The previous version of courier appeared to work
fine.
thanks.

Subject: [courier-users] Problem with new version
Date: Tue, 13 Nov 2001 19:54:29 -0800
I am having a bit of a problem with the latest version. It was working
fine,
and I was able to use the sendmail replacement in courier in a previous
version of pine. I need this because I sometimes have to log into my
machine
remotely without a web browser or access to X-windows.
Anyway, I can still send short messages using pine, my problem is with
attachments. When I attach a file to an e-mail in pine, it seems to send
the
message, but it never seems to be received, and there are no error messages
in the logs. If I send a short message with no attachements in pine, it is
sent and received almost immediately. The previous version of courier had
no
problem with this.
I know I could use lynx, but I would prefer to use pine in this instance.
What could this problem possibly be, could it be the new permissions on the
sendmail replacement? I don't want to change anything though unless I can
identify the problem.
