The From_ line will be removed for mail delivered to maildirs.

What about mail delivered to a program? E.g.:

cc '|exec /usr/local/bin/foo || exit 75'

No From_ line.

I am using maildrop as my MDA. It sometimes hands off to (user-chosen) programs which then save messages in mbox format. What do you recommend that I do? Here's one possibility:

cc '|exec /usr/local/bin/reformail -f1 | /usr/local/bin/foo || exit 75'

Irritating, but doable. I don't suppose I could persuade you to change this behavior, or make it configurable?

Import the DTLINE and RPLINE from the environment, then use preline.
