Subject:Can't Start my MYSQL

Everytime I start the mysql in the konsole:

# service mysqld start

Starting mysql was failed and an error will display:

Timeout error occured trying to start MySQL Daemon

And When I type 'mysql -u root -p' with the correct password it would display an error like this:

ERROR 2002 (HY000)"Can't connect to local MySQL server throught socket '/var/lib/mysql.sock' (111)

And the status of MYSQLD in my service configuration is:

mysqld dead but subsys locked
