LoadC was renamed to LoadUS a long time ago. Are you sure your bsd- port copy is updated?
I've been looking at this off and on over a little period of time looking at some file creation dates it looks like since about 7-7. The bsd_x86_32.ad that ends up in my build at bsd-port/build/bsd-i586/ hotspot/outputdir/bsd_i486_compiler2/generated/adfiles/bsd_x86_32.ad contains LoadC. The only place I see LoadUS (at least in a 32 file) is at bsd-port/ db4caa99ef11/src/cpu/x86/vm/x86_32.ad
For example here's what hg log reports in my hotspot dir:
I'm not quite sure what the implication of this is to my error. If I issue the 'hg log lmore' command from my bsd-port directory it returns nothing. Btw, the built 7 you pointed me to from 10.5 at least version checks for me (java/javac). As far as I got with it last night.
Did you 'hg fupdate' after 'hg fpull'? If not, your working copy will still be out of date even if hg log shows you modern history.
Again I'm not sure if this applies to mine or not. I did not do this. I did a 'hg fclone' as indicated in the url given process I was looking at. I then did a 'hg fclone' against the changeset that appeared to correct the compile error. Getting me to the posted error. I later did a 'hg fclone', once is good, twice is better, against what appeared to be the current openjdk7 repository. No difference for the posted error.
If you are saying there are commands that will provide you better information on the error, please indicate exactly what they are and in exactly what sequence I should issue them.
As far as the LoadC, LoadUS thing goes would it then be a possibility that using the changeset to fix the compile error introduced some conflict between these? If thats it how do I handle that?
