But, this is Gentoo GNU/Linux: the mailman package has a "courier" compile-time
option:
moebius aliases # emerge -pv mailman
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Which I have set. Probably Gentoo modifies mailman automatically to work with
courier. Never had a
problem. Takes 15' to configure.
