I found out that this is possible! There are two answers. The first is that when you create a MyMap, it becomes indexed by Google. So you can use our API to look through KML results which will include yours. Alternatively, you can do a site restrict!
For a MyMap with ID = 105008972115290044718.0004464e1f21fd914e0d1 which is this map http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=105008972115290044718.0004464e1f21fd914e0d1&ie=UTF8&z=10you can set your search query to: "beach site:http://maps.google.com/maps 105008972115290044718"<http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=beach+site:http:%2F%2Fmaps.google.com%2Fmaps+0004464e1f21fd914e0d1&sll=38.140942,-122.703112&sspn=0.777658,1.450195&ie=UTF8&z=10>
Does that work for you?

Thank you for the responce.
All I want to do is make the map that is on findinbodrum.com searchable with results that I can put on the map. I have a MYMAP created in google maps that I can place markers on etc.. so how do I search this map from the map on findinbodrum.com
the map findinbodrum.com was just created from the AJAX Wizard.
do i need to use a MYMAP key if so where is it?
2008/5/22 jgeerdes [AJAX APIs Guru] <jgee...@mchsi.com>:
Unfortunately, the AJAX Search API wasn't really designed to search your MyMap stuff. That said, there were some new features introduced in the last week or so that may help but are not really all that well documented just yet. So maybe Ben Lisbakken or another member of the dev team could (a) tell us whether the new setRestriction options to the LocalSearch can do this and/or (b) document a few more details as to what that setRestriction method's different options will do.
