Sorry but i think you have not read my last post really or what should i do with "This will be the last time I tell you: you must have valid forward and reverse DNS working. A dinky little hosts file will not do."

I have postet the answers of dns, but ok here again:

[harry@nb ~]$ nslookup 127.0.0.1 Server: 127.0.0.1 Address: 127.0.0.1#53

1.0.0.127.in-addr.arpa name = localhost.

[harry@nb ~]$ nslookup localhost Server: 127.0.0.1 Address: 127.0.0.1#53

Name: localhost Address: 127.0.0.1

authd is running and working well with mysql-auth, dns is working pretty good, pop3 is working and courierlocal is working also on terminal "mail root" test<enter>blabla .. and check mail box on localhost with thunderbird shows the mail the only thing that is not working is esmtp

so i can get the system mails and one of them said as written in my first post:

--------------------- courier mail services Begin ------------------------

Connections timed out: 1 Time Host 10.0.0.2 - 1 Time

Errors in remote to local connections: 2 Times

because "502 ESMTP command error",cmd: - 1 Time Host 127.0.0.1 - 1 Time

because "writev: Broken pipe",cmd: - 1 Time Host 127.0.0.1 - 1 Time

DNS works like a charme, because the notebook has its own nameserver and for 127.0.0.1 /etc/hosts plays the game and not dns

I said: you must make sure that you have forward and reverse DNS working. Courier does not use /etc/hosts.

What is "identd"? I know all services on my machine and have never seen such :-)

A.k.a. authd. yum info authd.

Telnet on SMTP gives no welcome-message and seems to be dead after connect!

[harry@nb ~]$ telnet 127.0.0.1 25 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost (127.0.0.1). Escape character is '^]'.

This will be the last time I tell you: you must have valid forward and reverse DNS working. A dinky little hosts file will not do.
