Something is wrong - the authtest thinks the homedir is: Home Directory: /home/sdm.rb29 whilst maildrop thinks the homedirectory is maildrop -V 3 -d john.doe maildrop: Changing to /home/john.doe

which is correct?

my typo mistake, the output is correct, the mistake is me changing the username

So, who knows what else you have changed. If you post made-up, imaginary data, the best you can hope is made-up, imaginary answers, that may not necessarily have anything to do with reality.

I only try to hide my user real mail address, no other purposes. the output is correct only the username changed, my apology if it make you think I only halusinating or anything else.

Well, for starters, this is wrong. LDAP_MAILDIR is the name of an LDAP attribute, not a literal constant. So, there's a harmless error here with authldap looking for a nonexistent LDAP attribute. The maildir location, if not specified, defaults to $HOME/Maildir anyway, so this setting is not needed at all.

thanks you, I'll try to correct this. anything else should I check for maildrop works perfectly?
