This isn't the same problem, but it's similar. With our version (1.5.3), when I (as administrator) edit an user, MY email invariably appears in the user's email text field. The first couple of times this happened, I didn't notice what was happening and got the same error message reported by Joseph Kraer (because that email address already existed). As long as I remember to change the email address back to the user's it works OK.

I haven't been able to find anything in the archives on this. Do you have an inkling as to what's going on? This is happening on the two different versions that we're running, 1.4 and 1.5.1, and is preventing me from updating the same user in both versions.

Perhaps there is another user account with the same email address? This would cause the error since there would be duplicate keys. Check in the error log (/eventum/logs/errors.log) to see the exact error being generated.
