Hi,
I consider it's not too much to say. Using ODBC, can appear risk to "born" in the mind of any developer from your team, the idea to commit suicide.(...just joking)...anyway, still have some bugs. From performance point of view if we talk, is another process level between your application and DataBase. If you make a stress test(with both method ODBC and C API) on database with 20(40 fields) tables with 1.000.000 records (it's enough to see how indexes works ) each, you can do easy comparison between ODBC and C API. From my experience i can tell you about C API that it's very stable and very easy to implement in any application.
Regards, Gelu

We're considering a new MySQL project on Windows. Can anyone comment on the performance differences, ease of implementation, stability, and other key decision factors between choosing the C++ library or the ODBC interface?
Thanks
