the file to his Unix box and runs it there. What this means is that he needs Perforce to leave the EOL character alone. What happens now is that Perforce wants to change the line endings to DOS

Tell him to set his client's line end option to "unix" (I'm betting it's set to "win" or "share"). We edit unix files
