Cluster is going to be only as fast as your network between cluster hosts.
You can speed things up by making sure that all your networking hardware is using 100 and not 10 megabit mode. I got caught out by this recently in a non-Cluster setting - it's amazing how many Ethernet cards there are that still switch between 10 and 100 Mbit modes.
You can speed things up even more by using the SCI protocol rather than TCP/IP, but this involves obtaining special hardware. See http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/sci-sockets.html for some info about this.
cheers

MySQL Cluster wasn't designed to be faster than a single machine. It was designed to be more reliable. If you read the main page for MySQL cluster you will see that the strengths listed are centered around high availability not raw speed (although it's still very fast).

Why we cannot will make sure in productivity MySQL Cluster in comparison with a local computer?
We have done many experiences on MySQL Cluster with 4 nodes And the same experiences by the local machine Have received absurd results!
By the local machine the base in 2Gb is processed in 2 times faster, than the same base on MySQL Cluster with 4 nodes
Why so have turned out? In what then advantage MySQL Cluster? If a database answers different inquiries much more slowly than by the local machine!
Please answer!
