Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your detailed descriptions of this issue. I'll file a bug and see how quickly we can push out a fix.
Cheers, Lane

I elaborately tested this bug with FJ this evening and we came to the following reliable steps and conditions to reproduce. We both used an empty calendar, using a prefilled calendar might increase the events that keep their alarms.
* Create a set of events, at least two. Set any type and number of reminders, at least one per event though. * Change the title of any event, either using the API or the UI. * Refresh the UI or do a GET request. * On all _other_ events, the default alarms are restored.
A number of conditions exist, that slightly modify the behavior:
* If you have removed all default alarms, then the alarms will be removed from all other events (obviously) * If you haven't verified your mobile phone, then a reminer of type sms is created (but not shown in the UI) * In some strange cases, some events kept their alarms. I cannot reproduce this though.
Very strange behavior. This renders the calendar pretty unusable though, please fix soon!
I also got some message about number of alarm subscriptions exceeded at some point but I don't have the exact message right now. Maybe some other time. (Even though I only added 1 alarm)

Hy Philipp
If i am right, then you are working the GDATA-Addon for Mozilla.
First i thought its a bug in my software. Then i also tried it with Lightning - the same shit happens I also asked somebody to test it from another PC and Google-Account. It happens there also.
- What i do to reproduce it with Lightning: - Clear my Google-Account - Make some new entries in Google with alarms (not ruled) - Start Lightning, the events are here - Then i edit some events, change subject and beginnings - some events i edit twice - then i look into the Google-Calendar with Googles UI - the alarms of all events (which are not edited with Lightning) are deleted
In my software i do this - download the feed - edit an entry and upload - edit and upload it one more time -> all alarms are deleted.
If you speak german we could communicate a littlebit more effective ;-)

It doesn't keep the alarms? Can you explain this a bit further? When I coded the alarm support for my GData Provider, I did have to remember all reminders and resubmit them when editing the event, but if thats all, then I don't think this is a bug. Otherwise there would be no way to actually remove reminders.

I'm just saying I've been able to reliably reproduce this behavior. I agree that it's a serious bug. But since I don't work for Google, all I can do is share my experience and hope someone there will do something about it.

You mean you know also about this issue and there is no solution for this ? Its absolutly not acceptable for the common user, does the developers of Google also know about this bug ?

this behavior too. I almost missed the Lost
