Hi,

I could not find in the documentation the definition of an "arbitrator", except
that it could be either an API or MGM node. So I know that I can define an arbitrator with a rank. But what exactly
is an arbitrator? Could you please provide a definition?

Furthermore, I understand that, when a node dies, the survivor one has to ask
the arbitrator to decide if it can restart or not. http://lists.mysql.com/cluster/625

What I don't understand is the need of an arbitrator in such a case. If only
oine node survives, why it can't decide all alone to continue working?

Thanks for any help.

Silvano
