If this were to be something other people could find value in, I would think that not showing the assignment, the scheduled release, nor the estimated development time would be good. Most users won't have any idea about that nor do they probably need to know about it.

Now I see what you are asking for. This is now on our todo list, though I am not sure when it will be completed. For the record, are there any other fields you don't want to display besides assignment?

As a workaround, you can edit the file templates/en/report_form.tpl.html and replace the fields you don't want to display with hidden fields.

What I really want is for our users not to see that at all. We just want them submitting issues and then we would actually take care of who they should be assigned to etc.

Hi Lance, If you go into "Administration", then "General Setup" you will see an option "Allow Un-Assigned Issues?". Set this to yes and new issues will not force the assignment to be set.

When a user is creating a new bug it asks them basically for who to assign it to. We don't really want them messing with that at all. When they create a new one, we just want it to be created. Is this type of functionality there or is there any plan for this?
