can someone tell me why i don't have the libauthmysql.so? or more
importantly, how to get it compiled/installed?
Installing the current version of courier-authlib, while following the
installation instructions for an utterly obsolete version of a completely
different package, is not going to result in anything useful.
You need to undo everything you did, and begin from scratch by reading the
README, INSTALL, and NEWS files in the courier-authlib package, following
the instructions therein, installing courier-authlib, reading the installed
manual pages, configuring it, and verifying that the authentication process
works using the tools in the courier-authlib package, before proceeding to
install any other package.
