If your cable modem is really 10 mbs, it should take about 2 minutes for a base install. About 3 minutes if you get X and some other goodies. Howerver, in the real world, it will take about 5 times longer than that (10 to 15 minutes)
Over fast local links, the speed of your disk often affects the speed of the install more than network issues.
