Hey everyone,

Can you provide the old and new URLs from youraliasrequest submissions? I'll check the status and see what's happening.

As a side note, the directory usually takes some time before it updates its entries. Youraliasmay have already gone through, but the old URL of your gadget may still be listed. If thealiasis in effect, our system retrieves the gadget XML from the new URL even though it appears to be loading it from the old URL. This makes it less than obvious that it's actually loading the gadget from a different source. Eventually, the directory will refresh itself and replace the old with the new URL.

Please verify that youraliashasn't gone through by first adding your gadget from the old location to your personalized homepage. Next, update your gadget at the new location with a small recognizable change, making sure it differs from the old. Revisit the homepage and check to see if these changes are present. Make sure you've disabled gadget caching via developer gadget also.

Thanks!

Dann

Yes, both URLs were and are in the directory.

Were both the source and the destination urls in the directory?

I submitted analiasrequest for one of my gadgets more than a month ago, and nothing ever happened. No confirmation e-mail, and the gadget is still pointing at the same place. I submitted another request about a week and a half ago with a different target URL, and still no dice. Has anybody ever gotten analiasrequest to work? Is there something I don't know about that I should be doing? I really need to get the hosting for this gadget transferred ASAP. Thank you in advance.- Hide quoted
