1/ Open an application other than the host VisualVM instance. 2/ Switch to Profiler tab. 3/ Click Settings in the top right corner, the Settings view is displayed next to the Profiling results view

For a short while when being opened the Settings view occupies the entire area, temporarily hiding the Profiling results view. From the user viewpoint the view "blinks".
