I don't agree that is a fair statement. I think currently developers not in the ADC winner list have the same chance of producing something at launch as the winners do.

I know you may think that, but I'm curious to know the reasons for believing so?

The ADC winners will be in far better position to ship *their ADC apps* by launch than the rest of the community will of shipping apps they submitted to ADC. After all, undoubtedly, all the winners have been working on those apps non-stop since the winners were announced. While some who didn't make the ADC cut might have worked on their apps with similar fervor, lots probably didn't.

But the original poster isn't looking to buy an ADC-winning app. He's looking to buy *his app*.

While the ADC winners have a leg up on experience with newer SDKs, they're less likely to have *time*, since they may well still be working on their own apps in preparation for a launch.

Then, either you believe that Google/OHA will get the final SDK to the full community with a couple months or so to go before launch, or you don't.

If you do, then ADC losers/non-participants are more likely to be able to deliver on the app the original poster wants, since there are more of them and there are more who would have the time and inclination.

If you don't -- meaning Google/OHA will go live with the ADC winners and perhaps select other partners, and nothing else -- then the original poster is probably screwed if he's aiming for having his app ready at launch.

As for me, I'm a glass-half-full kind of guy on this topic. Of course, being an ADC non-participant, I'm biased.
