Haven't you dragged by the icon of the program? If so, it would
happen.
In order to drag the whole gadget you need to do it by the area not
occupied
by any icon. Otherwise, it is just dragging the icon outside the
gadget = removing it.
Also, it would happen if you drag an icon instead of clicking it.
