Brenda Bell wanted us to know:
Is there a special trick getting Eudora to work with Courier-IMAP? I
have a working qmail/courier-imap install. SquirrelMail, Outlook and
Netscape Mail all work, but I'm trying to take Eudora for a spin and
can't get it to work. After entering my password, I get a dialog box
that says "The IMAP command has failed."
I had a similar case, with all of the same clients. I had to go into
Eudora and reconfigure the TLS configuration (two places). It will try
to do TLS then fall back to nonencrypted, but something weird happens
with the TLS reply that Eudora doesn't understand and the end result is
that it aborts. Tell it to not try TLS and it starts working properly.
Sorry, I can't recall the exact setting.
Blue skies... Todd
