As for duplicates, you could try submitting an alias request to point
one instance to another. It's not instant by any means but has worked
for me in the past. See http://www.google.com/ig/aliasrequest
Gadget screenshots get updated once a week or so I believe.

PS - There is also a size issue with the screenshot being wider than
280px. I have now corrected this on our servers but it ha not updated
in the directory. I guess this is just a cacheing thing.
