I'm logged in as a non-root user. I did the tar -zxf as a non-root user. I'm using courier-imap-0.36b. I have a RedHat 6.2 x86 machine. I get the following error on make. I did a default ./configure

Any ideas?

You probably have a bad copy of vpopmail. I heard back from Ken, and this is probably because of a broken release of vpopmail. Download the current version, reinstall it, and try again.

Perhaps it should be noted on the webpage or in the FAQ that courier-imap 0.36b requires vpopmail 4.8.x. I think it's a bit misleading to indicate that previous versions of vpopmail are bad or broken because courier-imap now uses a more recent API feature. Now potential syslog buffer overflows are a completely different story. :)
